ROAD TEST.....2012 Infiniti G Sedan

G25 Journey

     The G Sedan by Infiniti is in a seriously competitive segment in today's automotive marketplace. With it's main competitors being the wildly popular BMW 3-Series, Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, & Cadillac CTS, the G has had to keep itself as fresh as possible in recent years. Buyers shopping in the $30k-$35 sport sedan starting price arena have lots of other choices to consider as well but overall none really measure up to the aforementioned (4) from Europe & the U.S. These include the Lexus IS, Acura TL, Lincoln MKZ, & Volvo S60 respectively. My overall opinion is very high of both the lesser priced G25 & its more powerful sibling the G37. After driving the 328i, A4, & C300 at a ride-and-drive event recently, I will admit to walking away from each feeling more impressed than I ever had before. However, I still say if you can keep from checking all of the option boxes (ESPECIALLY the Sport Package!), the Infiniti G sedan overall is still the better looking & more engaging sport sedan of the bunch.
     Pricing begins at about $33,300 for the "G25" w/ no options, on up to about $43,300 for the "G37 Journey" equipped w/ the Premium, Navigation, & Sport packages. The competition shows starting prices to the likes of $35,500 for a 328i, $33,500 for an A4 2.0T Premium, $35,700 for a C250 Sport, & $36,800 for the CTS respectively.
     The G25 gas mileage figures come in at 20 MPG city/29 MPG hwy, & the G37's drop to approx 18 MPG City/25 MPG Hwy
All in all, I think the G Sedan by Infiniti is worth checking out
