AMERICAN BRANDS THAT COULDN'T MAKE IT

Over the next 5 posts we'll be looking back at 5 American car brands that were around for many years even managing to survive the great depression of '29. The brands I speak of are Plymouth (a division of Chrysler Corp.), AMC (American Motors Corp.), Mercury (a division of Ford Motor Corp.), Pontiac, and Oldsmobile (both former divisions of G.M.).
These are the model lines broken up every 10 years from 1957 until the year they closed the doors.
